“Ο Ρίψασπις”,
Ο κύριος κάθεται στον καναπέ, με πούρο και οικονομική εφημερίδα.
Αγόρασε έναν Πικάσο (μια από τις figures) και το γλυπτό “Δώρο” του ντανταϊστή γλύπτη Man Ray. Ένα σίδερο με ..καρφιά!
Πλήρως ενταγμένος στο σύστημα. Καμιά αντίσταση, καμιά διάθεση για επαναστάσεις. Άλλοθι στον τοίχο το πορτραίτο του Τσε από τα νεανικά του χρόνια.
Δεν δίνει καμια σημασία στην όμορφη, ακόμη, γυναίκα του. Εκτός των ιδανικών του, πρόδωσε και το γάμο του.
Η κυρία βαριεστημένη και καταθλιπτική.
Απογοητευμένη από τη ζωή της όπως έχει γίνει. Τρομαγμένη από την καθημερινή ρουτίνα που τη συνθλίβει (η σκιά του σίδερου πίσω της). Και ταυτόχρονα ονειροπόλα, αλλά με συνείδηση της ματαιότητας!

Η ασπίδα του Λεωνίδα κάτω δεξιά στο πάτωμα, αλλά αυτός δεν θα την έριχνε ποτέ…

The gentleman is sitting on the sofa, with a cigar and a financial newspaper. He bought a Picasso (one of the figures) and the sculpture “Gift” by the Dadaist sculptor Man Ray, an iron with ..nails! He is fully integrated into the system. No resistance, no mood for revolution. On the wall, Che’s portrait is an allibi for his youth. He pays no attention to his still beautiful wife. Besides his ideals, he has also betrayed his marriage. The lady is bored and depressed, disappointed with her life as it has become; Terrified by the daily routine that crushes her (the shadow of the iron behind her). And at the same time she is dreamy, but with a consciousness of futility! A typical couple of our days, that is… Leonidas’ shield on the bottom right corner of the painting is dropped on the floor. However, Leonidas would never drop it…
